More Like Jesus Ministry began when Karina's brother Christian bought Mya her first bible. Mya sent Karina a text with her new bible and Karina knew they had to dive into it. That day they had their first bible study where they read scriptures Psalms 23 and 30. The next day, Mya shared Psalms 30, the promise of Joy in the morning with their cousin Priscilla. She also lavished her ears with the song, Joy In The Morning by Terrence Tauren Wells & Elevation Worship.

A few days later Karina and Mya knew they had to invite Crystal who was recently baptized (on July 19, 2026) into their bible study, and after a few days of meeting for bible study, Mya set the default picture of the group to an image featuring the words "More Like Jesus". Karina later updated the group name to "More Like Jesus Ministry".

A week later the three found themselves praying for the new members that would join soon join them. It was then they knew they needed to create a home for you all.

More Like Jesus Ministry is a place and space to come to know Jesus and His character. To come to know Him by stories shared in the bible, words spoken by Him and in the living testimony of our own lives. Like Crystal said, "We are the subs, Jesus is the teacher." So with this regard, we come to bible study with humility, knowing we all have something beautiful to contribute.
